FREE COMMUNITY COVID-19 TESTING EVENT this Friday, 1/22 at the Iron River Community Center, 11am-5pm. Registration is not required but encouraged. See Bayfield County's website for more information.
THE SKATING RINK IS NOW OPEN!
There will be a Spring Primary on Tuesday, February 16th. Absentee Ballots can be issued beginning January 26th so please submit your request for a ballot by regular mail, email or drop off in the dropbox. All requests must include a copy of your photo ID. In person absentee voting begins on February 2nd.
NOTICE OF SPRING ELECTION-Chairperson Webb has submitted a notification of non-candidacy; Tom Renz has submitted a Declaration of Candidacy for the Chair position. Donna Porter and Susan Jansen have also submitted Declarations of Candidacy for re-election to their supervisor positions; Dave Scully and Jim Frint have submitted their paperwork for the supervisor positions.
TAX BILLS WERE MAILED THE FIRST WEEK OF DECEMBER-Please contact our office if you have not received yours. Please note that due to the pandemic, we will not be accepting in person tax payments this year. You can leave your payment in the dropbox in front of the Town Office. If you require a receipt, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your payment and we will mail your receipt. You can also get a copy at www.bayfieldcounty.org once the payment has been posted. Sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

THE TRANSFER SITE WINTER HOURS NOW IN EFFECT, OPEN WEDNESDAYS AND SUNDAYS, 8am-2pm (closed on Saturdays). The Brush Pit is open the same days/hours.
THE NEW EMERGENCY SERVICES BUILDING IS COMPLETE! An Open House will be held when it is safe to do so. See pictures here.

Silver Beach Elk returns to Barnes
Barnes Emergency Services sent out letters to property owners in an effort to raise funds for our new Emergency Services Building To date, nearly $69,000 has been donated! The fund raising goal is $125,000. You can donate using Paypal. The Town also has a brokerage account so we accept stock donations, contact the clerk for more information.
Tracy Pooler is the Bayfield County Ass't Zoning Administrator -contact him at 715-373-6138 for Planning and Zoning questions. His office hours have resumed, Tuesdays 10am-noon.
