The Newman Brothers Quartet will be in concert on July 4^th at 7:00 p.m. on the lawn of the Barnes Community Church, 3200 County Highway “N”, Barnes Wisconsin. At dusk there will be fireworks in the town park next to the church. See www.BarnesCommunityChurch.com for a map to this quartet concert.

During the 1960’s & early 70’s, Emmett & Dolores Newman and their five sons sang to the glory of God in the Arrowhead region of Northern Wisconsin and Northern Minnesota. They were known as The Newman Family. Entire church services of inspirational music was their forte’, however, their recognition also propelled them into the civic arena. Before the death of Dolores in 1975, the family’s credits included a 1 hour Christmas television program and an LP album.

Dale (3) Music Major-UW-Madison; many successful country and rock bands throughout Wisconsin; Former Musical Coordinator of contemporary worship service for 13 years – St Johns Lutheran Church, Reedsburg, WI; Performed alongside many national recording artists.

Scott (4) Music Major-UW-Superior, WI; many top 40 groups-Northern Wisconsin & Minnesota; an all original alternative rock group, Minneapolis, MN; Musical Director of summer stock youth theater, Brooklyn Park, MN; Musical Director of contemporary worship service-Valley Community Presbyterian Church, Golden Valley, MN.

Edward J Lense-Audio Engineer-A native Chicagoan, Edward grew up on the Southside of the city and graduated from a private school where his interest in music began. After playing and working for local and national acts, Edward moved to Wisconsin in the mid eighties. He resides on a 40-acre estate. Edward owns HRP, a live sound company & Hollow Tree Waters Studio, a 32 track-recording studio. Edward plays guitar, bass, synth, and sings. He has been engineering and recording his latest work due to be released sometime in 2005.The Newman Brothers have plans to incorporate his talents in the near future. Edward does work for both local and national acts.
