Minutes of the Town of Barnes Planning Commission

                                             April 16, 2009

4:00PM

Planning Commission members present: Dave Pease, Mitch McGee, Dick Webb

Members Absent: Gene Ratzel, Diane Rupnow.

Alternate absent: Duke Marten.

Public Present: Gerald Peterson, Jim Olesen, Lee Wiesner, Dianne Hess, Leslie Hall.

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Dave Pease.

Roll call to establish quorum.

Agenda read.

Motion (McGee/ Pease) to dispense with the reading of the minutes from the last meeting and to approve the minutes. Motion carried.

Public Comments:

Gerald Peterson spoke about concern regarding the home based business.

Zoning, Land Use Applications:  

1- Dianne Hess and Jim Olesen; 55530 George Lake Road; Special Use Permit for a home based business for gun repair and sales.   

Motion (McGee/ Webb) to approve the request.  Discussion. Motion carried.

2- Discussion on Public Hearing for zoning overlay: Dave Pease indicated that the public hearing needs to be advertised for 30 days in advance of the meeting. Meeting date to be discussed with the Town Board and possibly aim for a date in June.

Motion (McGee/ Pease) to adjourn at 4:30. Motion carried.
