November 7, 2011: Special Board Meeting

MINUTES OF THE

SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING

On Monday, November 7^th, 2011

Chairperson Lu Peet called the Special Town Board Meeting to order at 11:04AM.

Roll call was taken and all were present except Chris Webb.   Clerk-Treasurer Brustad verified the meeting notice was posted as required. The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

1)    Discussion and approval to purchase coupler system and bucket for Cat loader

Roads Foreman Bob Lang presented his information on the used coupler and bucket that he found for the new CAT loader/backhoe; the board reviewed photos Bob provided of the equipment and how it functioned.  He discussed that the cost was higher than was budgeted but significantly lower than new CAT equipment cost, as well as the significant savings we just gained on the recent used dump truck purchase that he found. 

Peet asked for a motion to approve the purchase.

Motion (Meinke/Porter) to approve the requested purchase of the used coupler and bucket for the Cat loader for the approximate cost of $12,100.  Roll call vote taken and all present responded YES.  Motion carried.

Motion (Porter/Meinke) to adjourn the Special Town Board meeting of November 7, 2011. Motion carried.

The meeting adjourned at 11:25AM.
