SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING

Monday, October 2, 2006

Chairman Collyard called the Special Town Board Meeting to order at 3:30PM.  All Board Members were present. The Agenda for the meeting was as follows:

 

AGENDA

1)                   Closed Session. The Town Board will go into closed session pursuant to State Statute 19.85(c) for considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. The Board will then reconvene to the regular session following the closed session.

 

Motion (Porter/Meinke) to go into closed session pursuant to State Statute 19.85(c) for considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility.  Roll call vote taken: Webb-yes, Collyard-yes, Meinke-yes, McGee-yes, Porter-yes, Motion carried.  

Collyard called the closed session to order at 3:35PM.  There were no decisions made in closed session. Only those issues pertaining to State Statute 19.85 (c) were discussed.  Motion (Webb/McGee) to adjourn the closed session and return to the open session. Motion carried.  

Collyard called the regular open session back to order at 5:35PM. The next Special Town Board meeting for budget purposes will be Monday, October 23rd at 3:30PM. The Budget hearing will be on November 13th at 6:30PM.  Webb asked the clerk to get a letter from the County Clerk in regard to the Voter Registration System charge for 2007.  Motion (Webb/McGee) to allow overtime for the regular full time highway worker as needed. Roll call vote: Meinke-yes, Webb-yes, Porter-yes, McGee-yes, Collyard-yes. Motion carried.

Motion(Webb/Porter)to give the Clerk-Treasurer an increase for 2007 of $500.00 per year in addition to the increase she will receive in November of 2006 to $32,936.00. Effective 1-1-07 new rate will be $33,436.00.  Roll call vote: Webb-yes, Meinke-yes, McGee-yes, Porter-yes, Collyard-yes. Motion carried.

Motion (Porter/Meinke) effective 1/1/07 to increase the Town Foreman’s salary to $39,681.00 per year. Roll call vote taken: Meinke-yes, Webb-yes, Porter-yes, McGee-yes, Collyard-yes, Motion carried.

Motion (Porter/Meinke) effective 1-1-07 to increase the full time Highway worker’s hourly rate to $15.00 per hour and a bonus of $1,040.00 on 1-1-07 also. Roll call vote: Meinke-yes, Porter-yes, McGee-yes, Webb-yes, Collyard-yes. Motion carried.

Motion(Meinke/Porter) to increase the hourly rate for the part-time snow plow operators to $12.00 per hour effective 1-1-07. Roll call vote taken: Meinke-yes, Porter-yes, Webb-yes, McGee-yes, Collyard-yes. Motion carried.

Motion (Porter/Meinke)to give the Transfer site attendant a bonus of $500.00 on 1-10-07, and hourly rate will remain at $11.00 per hour. Roll call vote taken: Porter-yes, Meinke-yes, Webb-yes, McGee-yes, Collyard-yes, Motion carried.

 The Occasional employees hourly rate will remain the same for 2007.  This includes the Deputy Clerk and Transfer Site fill-in person.

Motion (Porter/Meinke) to increase the Fire Chief/Ambulance Director’s yearly salary to $7,500.00 per year effective 1-1-07 and to be split equally between the two departments.  The rest of the administrative staff salaries for the Fire and Ambulance Departments will remain the same for 2007. Roll call vote taken: Meinke-yes, Porter-yes, McGee-yes, Webb-yes, Collyard-yes. Motion carried.    

 

 

Motion (Porter/McGee) to adjourn the meeting of October 2, 2006.  Motion carried.  Meeting was adjourned at 5:50PM
