Present: Land Use Element-Sharon Moen and Dave Pederson.

Absent: CLU Planning Committee-Marcia Wellnitz and Don Zigman.

The meeting was called to order by President Dave Pease. Pease presented information based on the 2000 census report that in 15 years, there would be 150 new homes in Barnes. There are presently 612 platted lots or parcels in the Town of Barnes. In other words, there is room for growth.

Group One presented their land use map showing new residential and commercial areas.

Group Two did the same.

There was a lot of discussion concerning both maps. At 8:15PM Patrick asked for a hand vote on: Leaving zoning for Section T43N-R9W as is, some F2 and some F1 or change it all to F1. The vote was 7 to 5 in favor of changing it to F1.

After more discussion with no progress, motion by Ron Pearson and seconded by Duke Marten to adjourn at 8:55PM. Motion carried. The meeting was adjourned

1. Patrick will take the two maps and colorize them the same re: yellow for residential, red for

commercial, green for forest, blue for municipalities, etc. He will send them back to the committee.

2. It was agreed by the remaining members to meet before the next scheduled meeting to work on

combining the two maps into one. As soon as the maps are returned, a meeting will be set up for

either September 28th or October 4th. We will also keep our regularly scheduled meeting for October

   12, 2005.

Respectfully submitted,
