Liquor License Application Forms

2024 LIQUOR LICENSE RENEWAL INSTRUCTIONS:

NOTE:  There are changes to the forms this year and all businesses must complete the forms AB-100 and AB-200 for Alcohol Licensing and forms CTV-100 and CTV-101 for Cigarette, Tobacco and Electronic Vaping Device Licensing.

The fees are as follows:

• Class “A” Beer License                                                   $50.00
• “Class A” Liquor License                                                $50.00
• “Class A” Liquor License (Cider ONLY)                         $50.00
• Class “B” Beer License                                                   $50.00
• “Class B” Liquor License                                                $220.00
• “Class C” Wine License                                                   $100.00           
• Cigarette & Tobacco Products Retail License               $25.00

The Publication Fee is $20.00
The Background Check fee is $10.00

The Liquor License Application forms are available on the right side of this page OR you can pick them up at the Town Office Mon-Tues-Thurs-Fri between 8am-Noon OR type and print forms can be found on the Wisconsin Dept of Revenue's Site 

Completed liquor license forms must be returned to the clerk's office no later than Friday, May 24th, 2024.  The Town Board will review and act on your application at the regular Monthly Board Meeting on June 18th, 2024.  The license fee(s) must be paid-in-full by 12:00PM Friday, June 14, 2024. 

Your license(s) cannot be issued until the fee is paid.  By law, there can be no exceptions to this time frame or payment.  Also, please note that per County rules and Town of Barnes Ordinance all Personal Property taxes must be paid-in-full prior to issuing licenses.

As a Business Owner you must also ensure that all relevant employees have and renew their Operator’s License. The Operator's License is available in either a 1-year license for $20.00, or a 2-year license for $30.00.   The Operator's License form is available here.  Please have operators come to the Town Office with the completed form and pay the fee or they can simply pick up the form at the town Office.  Operator license applicants must apply at the Town Office by Friday, June 14, 2024, to have their applications approved by the Town Board at the June 18th meeting.
